Every camel safari in Jaisalmer starts with a pickup from your hotel, guesthouse or the Jaisalmer railway station, followed by a short jeep drive to the dune belt where our camels wait. From there you ride across ridges of soft golden sand, stopping at desert wells, shepherd trails and abandoned Paliwal villages that most tour operators never show you. Prices below are per person and include the camel, a trained handler, guide, refreshments and all listed meals. Children under five ride free with a parent, and groups of six or more receive a discounted rate on request.

• Sunrise or sunset camel ride (1.5–2 hours) — from ₹1,200 per person. A short ride into the dunes near Kanoi with masala chai, biscuits and time for photos as the light changes. Ideal for families, first-time riders and travellers on a tight schedule.
• Half-day safari with village walk (4 hours) — from ₹1,800 per person. Camel ride, a guided walk through a Thar Desert village, a stop at a working well and snacks served in the sand.
• Overnight desert camping safari (18 hours) — from ₹2,150 per person. Evening ride into non-touristic dunes, bonfire, live Rajasthani folk music and dance, a four-course dinner of dal, gatte ki sabzi, seasonal vegetables, chapati, rice and sweet, cotton bedding under the open sky or a tent, sunrise chai, breakfast and the return transfer.
• Two-night dune expedition (2 nights / 3 days) — from ₹6,500 per person. A longer route with two different camps, deeper desert crossings and all meals included.
• Thar Desert expedition (4–8 days) — quoted on request. A guided crossing between remote villages with a support jeep, cook, full camping gear and every meal on the trail.

What is included

All safaris include hotel pickup and drop within Jaisalmer city, jeep transfer to the dune starting point, a well-trained camel with an experienced local handler, an English- or Hindi-speaking guide, drinking water, tea and snacks, all meals listed in your chosen package, bedding or tent accommodation on overnight trips, and the cultural folk programme where mentioned. Vegetarian, Jain and non-vegetarian meals are prepared fresh in the desert if you tell us your preference at the time of booking.

What is not included

Personal expenses, alcoholic drinks, monument entry tickets in Jaisalmer city, travel insurance, tips for the camel handler and any transport to or from Jaisalmer are not part of the safari price. Quad bikes, dune bashing and paramotoring at Sam Sand Dunes are separate add-ons that we are happy to arrange alongside your ride.

Best time, booking and cancellation

The comfortable season runs from October to March, when days are mild and nights are cold and clear for stargazing. From April to August we operate early-morning and late-evening rides only. Book at least three to five days ahead during the peak winter months; in quieter months same-day bookings on WhatsApp are usually possible. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before departure are fully refundable, and we reschedule free of charge in the rare event of a sandstorm or unseasonal rain.
